Coe-Truman Technologies and WEBGES merge meeting software businesses and form new global entity
Vienna, Austria and Chicago, IL, USA –July 14, 2014 – WEBGES Gmbh and Coe-Truman Technologies, Inc (CTT) today announced the creation of a new global entity designed to increase opportunities for medical, scientific, technical and professional societies to access leading edge workflow technology for meetings. The new entity will innovate meeting technology from planning through on-site operations and into enduring materials.
The new entity, Coe Truman International (CTI), will keep the current multi-brand strategy, and will operate CTT’s OASIS abstract management business and the WEBGES business from existing offices in Vienna (Austria), Chicago (Illinois, USA), Northfield (Minnesota, USA) and Johnstown (Pennsylvania, USA).
“CTT’s leadership in the abstract management field is longstanding and we are excited to offer additional capabilities to our customers through a merger with WEBGES.  The OASIS abstract management business is uniquely positioned to share best practices across medical and scientific associations and broadening the pool will directly benefit our customers and the science they advance”, said Mark Coe, CEO of Coe-Truman Technologies.
The new combined entity will focus on developing innovations that enhance functionality, ease integration across vendor platforms, and reduce demands on meeting planning staff.  Best practices in service and software approaches from each of the companies are being woven into the core of the CTI.
“WEBGES has a history of product innovation in both Europe and the United States and we are pleased to be able to build on this culture through the merger with OASIS,” said Richard Rettenbacher, CEO of WEBGES.  “With development and services teams on both sides of the Atlantic, our partners and customers will benefit from faster response times and faster time to market with product innovations.”
WEBGES is a privately held software company focused on the needs of meeting planners and organizers.  Founded in 2001 and with modular software solutions for membership, registration, abstract management, presentation management, content capture and e-library, WEBGES spans the meeting application market.  For more information, visit www.webges.com.
